Tom,
Great article about you in the Journal. You truly are a pioneer in the IT field! In addition, it sounds like you've had a great personal life, as well as a professional career, with many noteworthy achievements so far. I'm sure there are many more to follow.
One thing I forgot to mention to you yesterday was how much I admired and respected you for taking the time to say hello and chat with the folks in the lower administrative and "blue collar" levels of the City. You always found the time to answer questions from those of us with less technical expertise than you and never talked down to us or made us feel as if we were wasting your time. Those are very atypical qualities for someone of your rank in the City. If you ever tire of consulting, I'm sure there's a place for you as an educator at one of the local universities. Thanks for just being a decent guy!
